Contraception (Birth Control)

Contraception, or birth control, is a method or device that is used to prevent pregnancy. Here at Santa Lucia Medical Group, we offer a range of options for contraception. If you are looking for daily or monthly birth control options, your doctor can write you a prescription for Depo Provera or oral contraception. If you are looking for a long term birth control option, you may be interested in Nexplanon or an Intrauterine Device (IUD) such as Paragard or Mirena. These are long term options that are reversible when you decide you are ready. The insertion and removal of these devices can be handled here in our office. We also offer referrals for permanent procedures such as Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL) or Essure. Discuss with your doctor which contraception option is right for you.
